1996
The beginning

1996 • Birth of IDS
In 1996, the IDS company was created (Industry Development Service) and set up in Montmélian in Savoie. IDS then markets rubber mats and technical floor coverings not only for ski resorts but also for professionals in industry, building and agriculture areas.
Ideally located in the Alpespace activity zone, which was to become the nerve center of the mountain industry in France, the small Savoyard company quickly became the main supplier of quality and profesional floor coverings for mountain industry, counting as customers over of 98% of French ski resorts.
1998

1998 • Presentation of ID MAT
Then in 1998, the consumer subsidiary named ID Mat was also created. It manufactures and markets rugs and doormats for individuals through its own factory in the north of France. In 2009, the two companies merged to become ID GROUP.
2011

2011 • New activities
Between 2011 and 2016, numerous opportunities enabled ID GROUP to diversify its activities, particularly in the ski lift sector. This is how the Italian manufacturer of ski lift mats TEAM SERVICE joined the group. Thus ID GROUP can now offer its customers a full range of conveyor belt as well as loading carpets for chairlifts.
Then, the Spanish manufacturer IDDERMAN came to complete this offer with its innovative concept of universal gallery to cover and protect conveyor belt on the market.

Drawing on its experience and attentive to the concerns of ski area operators, ID GROUP has also developed the Angel Handle: an anti-fall device for chairlifts to prevent skiers and especially children from slipping under the guardrail. and hurt themselves when they fall.
These new business sectors have enabled ID GROUP to take off beyond European borders. Today, we equip and secure stations all over the world and our ambitions do not stop there, we are ready to face new technical but also environmental and social challenges.
